I created an 18.5 minute documentary about how international student athletes, at Virginia Tech, balance both their national identity and their Blacksburg, VA identity.

This project was built on research that had not previously been uncovered. I was able to discover who the first international student athlete at Virginia Tech was, Cato Lee ‘27, and found his daughter to interview her for the documentary.

Throughout this project, I was able to create a composite timeline of the history of athletics, head coaches, and international student athletes at Virginia Tech from 1872-2025.
